clothes free life in Indonesia guest contributor Aditya

I was born on the 25 of March 1981. I knew and became a nudist was in the year of 2007. Its not easy to be a nudist in Indonesia. There are a lot of thing that obstruct nudism here, such as religion and lack of knowledge about the differences between nudism and sexual activity. I have a dream that one day people will realize that nudism and sexual activity are not the same. So I wanted to share a perspective on clothes free living from Indonesia. Indonesia is a large country divided by seas. It has a lot of islands. Indonesia also has thousand of tribes. But unfortunately, many people across Indonesian areas are not highly education. Still, there are many remote areas where people cannot  fulfill their education. So many people don’t have wide knowledge about things such as about nudism. Many people, still think that nudity equals sexual activity. They only think nakedness is only for taking a bath or for sexual activity. They don’t know that there are many things that related to …

clothes free adventures in nature

What began as a dare soon became a passion when I very quickly realised that the weirdest thing about being naked was that it didn’t feel weird at all. Then I discovered Instagram sites such as Clothesfreelife and was inspired to explore more. Being naked at home became the norm, but that then prompted me to take the freedom outdoors. Again, Instagram posts became my inspiration but the problem lay in finding places to go where I could be free of clothes without ‘alarming’ the clothed hikers and bushwalkers. But with a bit of research and planning (and often luck) I found it was certainly possible. In general I look for quiet, yet inspiring wilderness areas in my state of Victoria, preferably with a river or waterfall for swimming, or secluded tracks for exploring. I do take a cotton ‘hiking kilt’ with me in case I encounter others en route who might not appreciate the freedom of being clothes free… But I have yet to use it – even when some hikers wandered past me while …

can we talk? – a barefoot connection to clothes free life – verygary

Some requests can be too demanding until a couple comes together to honestly negotiate them. Some subjects are taboo until a group decides that it can honestly discuss them. It is almost impossible to introduce the subject of nudity into a conversation. If the discussion begins to get serious, someone is likely to automatically dismiss the subject with, “Why would anybody even want to be naked?” and the possibility of nudity is promptly dropped. Then so is the possibility of any discussion. Nude activity feels too shameful even to be discussed. Barefooting is another subject that is almost as difficult to introduce into a conversation. Going barefooted is next to illegal. I want to suggest a parallel for talking about taboo subjects. Whenever someone voices reluctance to talk about a subject, then it needs to be introduced sideways sidewise. In places that frown on barefooted people, a person is not allowed to discuss the reason for going barefoot: shoes are required and there is no reason to discuss any further. For example, our county …

Clothes free yogi you should know March 2016 Renee

Before there was the nude yoga girl there was naked soul yoga. This month we are pleased to feature the founder of Naked Soul Yoga Renee Watkins a clothes free yogi we think you should know. Hey, I’m Renee and I started practicing yoga in July of 2013. I started my nude practice May of 2014 when myself and 2 other yogis introduced the #NakedSoulYogaChallenge to Instagram and it changed my life! My idea for NSY was to get people to truly understand that yoga is FOR ANY AND EVERYBODY and to separate nudity from sexuality/sensuality. Essentially we wanted everyone to remove their clothes and bare their souls. So many people have this idea that you have to be a thin white female who takes pics in exotic places in expensive clothing to be a yogi, (or that’s what many famous yogis appear to be anyway). I wanted people to know that you can be yourself no matter how flawed, or regular you are. Regardless of your age, body shape, weight, height NONE OF THAT …

The clothes free yogi you should know for January is Isaac. When we did our firstfeature of clothes free yogis Isaac unfortunately missed the cut off date. I am a veteran of the United States Navy and I am currently working as a Massage therapist, Yoga instructor and a Chef. It’s fairly easy to judge a man after taking a single look. I see this after coming to face with a judgement call that, at first, I was offended by …

Roxy – Clothes Free Yogi of the month

A few weeks ago we put the call out for clothes free yogis who wanted to share their practice. Roxy answered the call. Meet Roxy a clothes free yogini we think you should know. This is a part of our on going series clothes free yogis you should know. Roxy- 27/TN My life has always been on the go. I grew up in a military family where I embraced competition. Shortly after sustaining an injury that led me to seek alternative ways to exercise, I chose to look into barre and yoga. I can’t begin to explain the revelations I’ve had about myself both mentally and physically. Yoga has taught me to calm down and focus; it’s all about tiny, slow, fluid movements. This mindset has poured over into other aspects of my life as well. I can now see that the tiny little moments of our every day actions come together and create the bigger picture that is our life as a whole. I decided to start doing clothes free yoga to take a …

First Clothes free yogi of the month yogini KB

KB was one of the yogi is featured in our gallery last month of five clothes free yogis you should know. Now she kicks off a new feature where we will highlight an individual who is living clothes free in some aspect of daily life. It may be  fitness or workouts, gardening or cooking, gaming or sport. Each time we will feature an ordinary person sharing an aspect of their clothes free  living. Thanks to KB for getting us started. Originally, I began practicing clothes free after a shower. This practice would only be a few Sun Salutation A or B’s just to get my body moving, before carrying on with my day. This slowly evolved into a clothes free practice at the end of my day. To me practicing clothes free allows me to truly be authentic. It’s a time for me to become comfortable in my own skin regardless of any thought that may cross my mind while practicing. At first, having a full practice clothes free was a challenge because a part …
