naturism in Ireland

What’s it really like to be a naturist in Ireland? Irish Naturist Association (INA) was founded in 1963 when a small group of Irish people met while on holiday in naturist surroundings in Europe. Back in Ireland they met again and decided to set up a naturist organisation – the Irish Naturist Association. Advertisements were placed in Health and Efficiency, a naturist publication, and the British Naturist newsletter. Members were recruited and meetings at private venues were arranged where they could socialise and enjoy some nude time. The INA has always been run as a social, non-sexual organisation, with volunteer committees whose job it is to look after the interests of its members and canvas for facilities and a greater acceptance of our lifestyle among the general public. The association has quietly gone about its business over the years since its founding. However, in the mid 1990s the group decided to write to local authorities in coastal regions asking that areas be set aside for ‘clothing optional’ use on beaches that naturists had already been …

WNBR Manchester report – guest contributor John Harding

Three weeks ago I did something that I had been wanting to do for years; I took part in a World Naked Bike Ride. Previous years had fallen on family occasions or work commitments and I had been unable to attend the nearest ride, in Manchester, which is around 20 miles from my countryside home. This year, I was working in London on the Friday and spent an additional day in the capital city so I could attend my first WNBR on Saturday 11th June. My journey started at my parents’ house at the end of the Underground network, and a mere mile ride down to the local station. There are strict rules on London trains where cyclists can take bicycles, and my journey ended an hour later at Baker Street which is where I had to depart. The London WNBR has six different start points; those starting at Regents Park, Hyde Park and Kings Cross ride through London to Piccadilly Circus where all three groups converge. A bit further on, the cyclists from Tower …

first ever thailand naked run

Naturist Association Thailand will arrange a Naked Run in the Jungle October 2016. The run will be either 2.5 km or 5 km your choice- if there is enough demand an extended 10 km will be added. But the 2.5 km run could also simply be a enjoyable walk along the jungle track to the finishing line. The run will take place 23-24 October 2016 – the long weekend of the Chulalongkorn Day and will follow the format of the popular “mini-half marathon” that are currently very popular in and around Bangkok. http://www.mynewsdesk.com/th/naturist-association-thailand-co-ltd/pressreleases/Naked-Jungle-Run-in-Thailand-in-October-2016-1391598

Review of clothing optional event at museum art exhibit

Live nudes “Who is the one on display here, anyway?” The thought crosses my mind as quickly as goose bumps peak from my skin, contrasting the texture of the silky photograph in question and Margaret’s unwavering confidence that seems cemented in the portrait. THEMUSEUM’s gallery, though filled with fifty or so wandering bodies is chilly on March 27 and doesn’t inspire comfortable, smooth skin, or relaxed hairs on the back of my neck – or perhaps that is a product of my own discomfort as I stand naked in a sea of strangers’ flesh.   The exhibit, aptly named “Getting Naked,” is part of a larger series at THEMUSEUM that includes a variety of programming, panels and the evening I am immersed in – a walk through the gallery where participants of all ages are taking in the nudes in exactly that form. The downtown Kitchener, multi-room gallery houses over 100 never-shown-together pieces from the Canadian Art Bank and is curated by Virginia Eichhorn. The works, categorized broadly as “nude, naked or unclothed,” include everything …

Vita Nuda reports on seventh successful Florida young Naturists Spring Bash

Florida Young Naturists Naked Spring Bash #7 There was a lot to do as well. We had all of our traditional events: live music, glow in the dark body painting, naked yoga, dancing, drinking, and profound hot tub conversations. We also had a lot of fun and unique workshops as well, like partner yoga, ballroom dancing lessons, painting with light, henna, hula hooping, glass blowing, screen printing, tie dying, and so much more. There were even workshops on wine making as well as one for making your own didgeridoo and learning how to play it. The amount of talented and creative individuals willing to share their craft is one of among many things that make these bashes truly unique.  This year’s spring bash was a very special one too. What made this one special was the many new people at the bash and also the high number of returning FYN members; some of which hadn’t been to an event in years! It was really great to see some of the people that made past events …
