Nakedness itself is not immodest

“Nakedness itself is not immodest… Immodesty is present only when nakedness plays a negative role with regard to the value of the person, when its aim is to arouse concupiscence, as a result of which the person is put in the position of an object for enjoyment.” Polish Cardinal wrote:

In the public eye – does public nudity help the cause

So after reading several articles and blog posts recently on the virtues or negative side of nude bodies in the public view I started wondering. Is nudity in public place that is not at a resort camp or nude beach inherently wrong? Should expressions of nudism be restricted to private or designated places? Do those who go nude in the public space hurt nudism and break the law? Are those who are intentionally nude in front an unsuspecting public really more exhibitionists than nudists? See this quote from Florida law on public nudity C. In a private place, the actor exposes the actor’s genitals with the intent that the actor be seen by another person in that private place under circumstances that the actor knows are likely to cause affront or alarm. Violation of this paragraph is a Class E crime; [2001, c. 383, 105 (amd); 156 (aff).>;; Are images like these doing more harm than good for the nudist cause? What do you think?
